JON MCXRO | Hip-Hop Group

After producing top-tier content for the likes of Justin Bieber and Ne-Yo (and getting Grammy nominations on the side), what’s next for superstar producers The Stereotypes? Forming a hip-hop group! Jon Street and RayRo formed JON MCXRO (which sounds just like the name of a certain angry tennis player) with Houston rapper Three. The group’s moniker is made up of parts from each of their names, and their debut album, “The Fifth of Never,” just hit the streets in late May. It features tracks such as the club-friendly “Lego” and the flirtatious “Girlfriend.” NMR had a chance to talk to JON MCXRO recently about their transition from producing music for the hottest artists out there to making a name for themselves as musicians. We caught up with the trio at their nondescript recording studio on busy Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles.
