I recently had the honor of interviewing 12-year-old YouTube makeup artist Talia Castellano. Talia is a young girl currently battling two forms of cancer and recently became an online sensation after she began posting makeup tutorials and videos chronicling her life dealing with the disease to her YouTube channel. As I was researching her videos for the interview, I couldn’t help but notice her surprisingly positive attitude. The maturity of this young girl is well beyond her years.

As I was waiting on Skype for Talia, I had the pleasure of chatting with her mom (who’s an esthetician) for a few minutes. It was very heartwarming to see the level of positivity and support she has for her daughter; I could definitely see where Talia gets some of her great qualities from.
