Every month, YouTube highlights emerging partners who have a growing subscriber base but have yet to reach the 100,000 mark. YouTube judges select four nominees for the “On The Rise” program based on criteria such as user engagement and channel optimization, and YouTube users vote for their favorite channel.
Although the “On The Rise” program is on hiatus for the month of December, once it comes back early next year, YouTube is changing up how it selects the channels. Now YouTube users can nominate a YouTube partner for the program that they think is interesting and deserves more attention.
In a blog post today, Devon Storbeck and Christine Wang from YouTube Partner Support appealed to YouTube users to look for the next “On The Rise” channel: “Feel free to submit nominations for your own channel, or for channels you follow that you think deserve more attention or could be the next YouTube sensation. We’ll continue to feature promising partners who have fewer than 100,000 subscribers and produce engaging content on a regular basis.”
Expect more diverse candidates for the “On The Rise” program when it comes back in 2013. If you have a channel that needs the attention and has fewer than 100,000 subscribers, submit your entry here.
