I grew up in the punk and hardcore scene, which means I’ve heard a lot of bullsh*t in my life. We’re talking about the kind of noise people associate with ritual sacrifice and the Son of the Morning — that’s right: Beelzebub.
While I consider myself an expert on ear bleed-inducing nonsense, nothing could have prepared me for what Spin magazine called “pop music’s buzziest new word” — that’s right: dubstep.
For the dubstep loyal among you, good news is here courtesy of YouTube and confusing haircut supporter Skrillex. The Grammy-winning dubstep artist released a three track EP today via YouTube. The EP titled “Leaving” features songs that the DJ was quoted in Rolling Stone as saying, “I guess it’s just kind of a reflection of how I’m feeling right now.”
You can check out all three tracks below or slam your hand in a car door — either way works for me.
