Maker Studios is working with the Producers Guild of America and two other production companies on the organization’s fourth annual PGA Producers Showcase (ProShow) competition this June.
The ProShow is an annual film competition for aspiring producers who need funding to create their projects.
Maker will be the development partner for entries in the Online Category of ProShow, which is one of the two new contest categories. Contestants will have to pitch an online content idea such as a vlog or a web series to the competition website. Three finalists will be chosen and will get free admission to this year’s Produced By Conference and compete for prizes. The grand finalist will also enter into a development deal will Maker Studios to make their project a reality.
Other categories in contention at ProShow are Reality Television and Feature Films, and they will largely follow the same procedures as the Online Category.
All entries must be received by April 12, but entry fees vary by date of submission. Early-bird submissions made by March 15 cost $55, regular entry fee before March 29 is $75 and late entry fee before April 12 is $95.
