Talia, who is suffering from neuroblastoma and myelodysplastic syndrome, told her fans that her cancer has progressed to her right hip and her skull. She said she held off on telling her fans until her friends and family found out first.
In her 11-and-a-half minute video posted on YouTube Sunday, Talia seemed frustrated at her diagnosis and how to tell her fans about what could happen next.
She said: “When I talk to people about the way I feel about death or my cancer, some people are just like—you could, like, the way I talk is very explicit because I face reality. It’s not like I’m happy or something, it’s that I face reality and I’m truthful but I believe that I can fight it and I believe that I can beat the crap out of cancer.”
Despite the doctors’ diagnosis that she only has a few months to live, Talia said that she doesn’t have a fear of dying and her family is weighing their options on further chemotherapy treatment.
Reaction on her Facebook page has been overwhelmingly positive, wishing her well as her cancer progresses. Heather Kazimir wrote: “Talia, you are an incredible young lady. Your attitude, faith, and sense of humour in the face of this horrid disease, amazes me. You have taught me so much and I thank you for that.”
