As far as credible sources go, NMR tends to put a lot of stock in our friend George Takei — so when he says take a look at this, we do exactly what he says (I can’t imagine a way that would ever backfire).
Fortunately for all of us, Takei has found an impressive voice hidden in the thickets and he was kind enough to share it with the world via his Facebook page.
That voice belongs to Molly Kate Kester, an 18-year-old starlet-in-the-making from Minnesota. She’s posted several videos to YouTube, but none have come close to the attention she’s gotten in the wake of Mr. Sulu’s intervention with her viral hit “His Daughter.” Before he posted the video, she had somewhere around 13,000 views for the song. Now, it’s over 2.6 million.
Clearly, she’s gotten the world’s attention, and I can only imagine she’s going to make the most of it. Maybe George Takei would be good enough to post one of my armpit fart videos next … I’m ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille.
Share this article — not because I said so, but because this girl is talented.
