This new feature is great for business calls because, as PCWorld.com put it, “you don’t have to be in the same room, or even in the same city to work together.”
SFGate.com reported that Google+’s next update would be allowing video chat on mobile devices, where before a user could only join via phone on an existing chat. The update will soon be available in the Android Market and iOS after that.
Other updates to the feature include: Hangout On Air, a broadcasting tool that allows users to view the chat online since only 10 people can participate at a time; the ability to start a new video chat session below a post; and to celebrate the holidays, users will be able to paste antlers and bright red noses on their friends during a chat.
Eventually users will be able to customize their own add-ons.
