With Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis recently attending the Marine Corps Ball, after being asked by Sgt. Scott Waren and U.S. Marine Cpl. Kelsey de Santis, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Justin Bieber has also been asked to attend a special event with teenage male fan, Leon Purvis.
That’s right — Purvis has asked Bieber to his junior prom via YouTube.
The catch, however, is that the 16-year-old New Jersey high schooler did not ask Bieber to prom as a date, but as his wingman. He even invited Bieber’s lady, Selena Gomez!
Accoring to globalgrind.com, Purvis, who assured his viewers that he is not gay, is concerned that the girl he really likes will decline his request to go to prom with him.
In Purvis’ three minute video, titled “Guy Asks Justin Bieber To Prom,” he tells Bieber that he would not be going to prom with him as a date, but as a friend and as his brother.
“So hopefully, Justin, me and you get to jam it out at my prom in June of 2012. Now, I’m asking you this now because I know you’re a busy person and you have to schedule things like way ahead of time, so I’m going to ask you this now and, you know, I just hope you see this video up until that point comes. If you don’t see the video — well, at least I tried. But you know, again — ‘Never Say Never,” Purvis said in the video.
Below his YouTube video, Purvis asks his viewers to follow him on Twitter (@jpmay3) and help #GuyAsksJustinBieberToPromOnYouTube become a trending topic on Dec. 27 at midnight EST.
