Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Benson, the founder of The Imaginary Zebra, an online exclusive clothing brand, and managing partner at Plushtogrpahy, where we make pillows in shapes of camera lenses.
Where are you from?
Originally from Taiwan. Moved to the States around 10 years ago and stayed in California since.
From brand owners standpoint, social media allows companies and individuals to be transparent and share a slice of their life style to their audience; it adds personality to the brand. It also creates an outlet for information to spread rapidly across the web. It’s a great marketing tool for brand owners with quality content.
There’s no filter and it’s practically free, thus it can be a platform that can be easily abused. Everything a brand displays to the public would tell the audience who they are. It’s up to the brand to decide whether they want to fill their followers screens with spam or thoughtful remarks.
Quality over quantity, whether it’s your content or your followers. Everyone’s being exposed to hundreds, if not thousands, of tweets, blog posts, and news feeds daily. Most might not care about what you have to say, but for those who do, make sure they get the good stuff. Genuine content attracts genuine followers.
