The NBA is Bringing Back all its Glory

The NBA is back and what better way to celebrate Christmas than with friends and family around the television. Sunday morning started with a live, TNT broadcast of the New York Knicks versus Boston Celtics game from Madison Square Garden.

TNT opened its telecast with a spectacular two minute video montage, “NBA Forever.”

The video compiles footage from basketball legends past, present and future and splices them effortlessly together. Footage of Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Kobe Bryant walking onto the floor in unison, Chris Paul and Isaiah Thomas having a chat, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar standing amongst current Milwaukee Bucks are just a few of the images edited together.

The video is a tribute and reminder of yesteryear’s Hall of Famers and today’s rising stars.

Reigning MVP Derrick Rose lines up next to former Chicago Bulls greats Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Charles Barkley and Carmelo Anthony, waiting at the free throw line while presumably talking trash. The list goes on and on.

The concept is great and the video has gone viral within 48 hours. At press time “NBA Forever” had 265,842 views. Watch the video and relive the greats mixed in with current NBA superstars.
