Seconds after Beyoncé unbuttoned her purple-sequined blazer, to unveil her baby bump, at the 2011 VMA Awards, rumors concerning the singer’s pregnancy have consistently flooded social networking sites — namely, Twitter.
According to People.com, after Beyoncé announced her pregnancy on national television, fans broke a record on Twitter, posting 8,868 tweets per second (TPS).
OnTheRedCarpet.com reported that chitchat surrounding Beyoncé’s pregnancy surfaced again earlier this week, when MediaTakeOut.com published an article saying that the singer checked in to a lavish “Labor and Delivery Suite” at New York City’s St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital.
According to People.com, other reports saying that the singer gave birth yesterday to a baby girl, Tiana-May Carter, have caused an overwhelming number of tweets, congratulating the power couple.
People.com also reported that the rumors regarding the birth of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s first child have not been confirmed.
