Holly Conlan Covers “Only Girl in the World”

Holly Conlan has Los Angeles hypnotized with her voice and acoustic sounds, however, her musical talents certainly don’t end there, but take root.

According to Conlan’s website, her soft, melodic voice and key strokes can be heard in TV shows like 90210 and films like “The Other Woman.”

Her regular appearance at L.A.’s The Hotel Café landed her a spot on its 2008 tour and has since shared stages with Grammy nominated Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers and Sam Bradley.

According to her YouTube Channel, she had fun playing her cover of  Rihanna’s “Only Girl in the World,” during her Spring Tour, so she decided to record it live at the Chalet in L.A. and post it on YouTube.

Conlan took the dance queen’s synthesized, dance-party song and with a bass drum, the twinkling sounds of an xylophone and a tambourine, took the seductive ‘I want you’re love now’ song, into a more romantic realm.

Conlan is currently working on her third album and will be playing at The Hotel Café on:

Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 20 at 8 p.m.
