We’ve been missing Ryan Higa on YouTube as of late, but with his latest video, titled “2012: End of the World,” we were able to get our Nigahiga fix in time before the world ends — or will it?
In the video, Higa enthusiastically talks about his plans to post more videos in 2012. However, with Sean Fujiyoshi’s constant “dun, dun, dun” interruptions, Higa is forced to address the topic of the ‘Doomsday’ date, predicted by the Mayan calendar.
“Do you even know a Mayan? Do you even know what a Mayan is?” Higa asks Fujiyoshi, who hesitatingly replies, “Some… type of cat?”
Higa proceeds to talk about the absurdity of people referring to 2012 as the end of the world, saying, “People that say the world is ending are either depressed because they want the world to end, really gullible and believe everything they hear and read on Google or just afraid because they want to scare people into buying useless things for the end of the world.”
For instance, in the video, Higa includes a mini commercial-like clip advertising the 2012 Safety Rock, explaining that if you purchase the $100,000 rock, “all of your end of the world problems will be solved.”
At the end of the video, Higa promises to post more videos in 2012 and to be alive in 2013. Check out the video below!
