As of May 13, 2012, Marvel’s “The Avengers” grossed over 1 billion dollars with an average of $47,698 in 4,349 theaters on its opening weekend. “The Avengers” is the 12th film to reach the billion-dollar club, right below “The Dark Knight” and “Alice in Wonderland.” The action wasn’t reserved only for movie screens. “The Avengers” ruled social media chatter on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Our friends over at Topsy.com put together some stats on “The Avengers” social media presence, which we assembled (see what I did there) into this super powered infographic.
