Triptrotting Searches For The Ultimate YouTube Traveler [CONTEST]

Hey, YouTube travelers! Is there something about your city that you want to share with the world?

Triptrotting, which dubs itself as a “global community of world travelers and locals,” is searching for the next Ultimate Triptrotter. They want passionate travelers to submit their videos telling viewers three to five things to do in their city for a chance to win a trip to sunny Los Angeles!
Here’s how to enter:

1) Sign up for Triptrotting (it’s free).

2) Upload a short video on YouTube where you show 3-5 fascinating things to do in your city.

3) Remember to tweet your video to @triptrotting using the hashtags #YTCreators and #YouTubeUltimateTriptrotter so they can add you on their playlist.

Most importantly, remember to promote, promote and promote. Why? The video that gets the most views and likes will get one creator crowned the Ultimate Triptrotter. The winner gets an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles with accommodation and gets to vlog about the sights and sounds that make Los Angeles one of America’s most dynamic places.

Last year’s winner, Yolanda Clatworthy, got the nod as the Ultimate Triptrotter with this punchy, catchy video telling the world why she deserved the title. She won the chance to travel through 10 cities around Central and Eastern Europe for a month, which you can see in one of the videos below.

For creators hoping for an opportunity in producing entertaining travel videos, this is your chance to tell the world what makes your city awesome. Whether it’s the main park or a fascinating art gallery, it goes without saying that your YouTube story should make people get up from their couch and visit that place.

If you need some inspiration before creating your video, why not check out NMR’s feature on Sonia Gil, creator of the Webby-award winning web series “Sonia’s Travels.” Check out her latest video where she goes people watching on Miami Beach’s Lincoln Road.
