UPDATED: Visualizing the Virality of PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ [INFOGRAPHIC]

I was driving home today after participating in our interview and photoshoot with G4’s Candace Bailey (Whoops! Now you know one of our upcoming features) and turned on pop radio station KISS FM to hear the new Ne-Yo dance single, “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself), begin transitioning out. To my surprise, the next song was none other than internet sensation PSY’s “Gangnam Style”! It’s amazing that out of all the superstars of K-pop, like Big Bang, 2NE1 and Rain, the one performer that’s managed to really break through American mainstream media is PSY, who, to my knowledge, has not been as hot a commodity in Asia as the aforementioned stars. Seeing how much “Gangnam Style” has blown up since its release on YouTube back in July 15, NMR thought that it’d be cool to enlist our friends from Topsy and Salesforce Radian6 to help supply some stats for us to create an infographic that visualizes the virality of this extremely catchy song. Check it out below!
