Is there anything that sci-fi extraordinaire Joss Whedon can’t do? Probably not, and he’s just recently given his two cents on the upcoming presidential election as well.
In a two-minute satirical YouTube video, Whedon states that as a liberal, he was excited for President Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential election. But now, he’s making the case for a Mitt Romney presidency.
Deadpan, Whedon says about Romney: “But it’s a very different world now, and Mitt Romney is a very different candidate, one with the vision and determination to cut through business-as-usual politics and finally put this country back on the path to the zombie apocalypse.”
So who will survive the zombie apocalypse? In a reference to the film “28 Days Later,” he says: “The one percent will no longer be the very rich. It’ll be the very fast. Anyone who can run, fight, make explosives out of household objects and especially do parkour of any kind, you’ll want to stick with them…unless they read Ayn Rand.”
Knowing Whedon, he knows that Romney is definitely looking out for his best creative interests. If we want big changes in America, especially of the zombie apocalyptic kind, vote Mitt Romney for President.
