Every natural disaster has an iconic image that people find themselves rallying around. The great flood had Noah’s ark, the American dust storms of 1936 had the photographs of Dorothea Lange, and that asteroid that almost destroyed Earth had a scrappy group of oil rig workers and a terrible Aerosmith song. As Hurricane Sandy, or Frankenstorm, or as I like to call it – Murderstorm: Blood bath 2012 – threatens to wipe out the Northeast, Americans are desperately searching for their power symbol.
Luckily, blessedly, mercifully our search is over. As New York and the places close to, but not as important as, New York face almost certain destruction, we must look to one man-beast for strength – Hurricane Horse.
What more can be said about H.H other than he/it is a true American hero.
You are the wind beneath our wings.
