Team Responsible For YouTube’s New Layout To Hold Live Stream, AMA

Good news, everyone who hates the new YouTube layout:YouTube is giving you a chance to identify the culprits behind their latest site design with a couple of live-on-the-web interactions. Identifying a person you have an issue with is the first step in the process of tarring and feathering them. Step number two is to get a whole shitload of chickens. Or nice pillows.

The first interaction will be on Thursday, December 13th at 4 p.m. PST (that means Pacific Standard Time; I’m not trying to get your attention in a library). Hosted live from the YouTube channel, the event is called “Hangout on Air” and to ask questions during the live stream, you must submit them here before noon, the day of the event. 215 questions have already been submitted, so if you think you’ve got something fresh and relevant to say, think again.

A follow-up “sesh” (that is what we hip people call a session) will be held on Reddit in the form of an AMA on Monday, December 17th, starting at 1 p.m. for all of you people who have lives and jobs that preclude you from participating in the initial event. Because people who are working on Thursday at 4 p.m. won’t be working on Monday at 1 p.m. Awesome logic from the people who brought you the annoying new layout in the first place. Way to go, team.
