The Oregon Humane Society is sending out invitations to their annual Doggie Dash held in Portland in May, and they want President Obama’s dog, Bo, to be their Grand Marshal.
Instead of getting his attention through an elaborate invitation through the mail, they followed the likes of teenager Jake Davidson who asked Kate Upton to his prom by making a YouTube matchmaking video. In their video set to The Marvelettes’ “Please Mr. Postman,” a Goldendoodle named Romona doesn’t have a date to the Doggie Dash but later realizes that Bo would be the dog to ask out. Throughout the video, Romona tries to figure out the best way to ask the first dog.
While the video is a lighthearted, attention-grabbing way to promote Doggie Dash, ABC News reports the Oregon Humane Society is seriously reaching out to the White House to show their support for shelter pets.
