Move over, “Harlem Shake.” Your fifteen minutes are up.
The YouTube world crowned a new viral video this weekend, and the latest “Harlem Shake” renditions from the Miami Heat and “The Simpsons” were too late to save the first big viral meme of the year.
The most viral video at the moment features a pony that can dance the moonwalk to Fleetwood Mac’s “Everywhere.” The Viral Video Chart reports that British mobile phone company Three’s “Pony” commercial amassed more than 181,000 shares in 24 hours and now has more than 1.4 million video views on YouTube. The commercial was produced by Wieden+Kennedy, famous for their insanely viral “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” commercials from Old Spice.
As part of its advertising campaign, Three also has a “Pony Mixer” on its YouTube channel where you can make your own mashup of the pony dance.
