Twitter’s video app Vine has released its latest update for the iPhone today which features embeddable posts throughout multiple platforms. Users can create embeddable posts in simple postcard-form in the app itself or from a post page on Vine.co.
In a blog post announcing the update, Dom Hofmann, co-founder and general manager of Vine, wrote: “When we launched Vine, we described posts as ‘little windows into the people, settings, ideas and objects that make up your life.’ With today’s update, you can display them almost anywhere.”
To try the new feature, once you’ve updated your Vine app for the iPhone, go to your post and tap the three dots button on the bottom. When you see the prompt, tap “Share this post” and choose “Embed.” You can copy and embed your Vine post in 320px, 480px and 600px sizes and paste them on the web. The app update also expands its Facebook and Twitter sharing options by tapping the “Share this post” prompt.
Twitter introduced the Vine app in January after acquiring the video-sharing site last year.
