Fullscreen Names Xmobb Co-Founder Larry Shapiro As New Head of Talent

Larry-Shapiro

Fullscreen has tapped former Fourth Wall Studios executive vice president of business development Larry Shapiro to become their new head of talent, the company announced today.

In his role, Shapiro will manage the multi-channel network’s content creators including Michael Buckley, Megan Nicole, Sam Tsui and David So. He is replacing Sami Kriegstein, who will become Fullscreen’s Vice President of Talent Integrations.

Shapiro said in a statement that the next generation of entertainment “is coming from the digital world”: “Fullscreen has the strongest talent pool of emerging creatives that are supported by world class technology. I’m excited for the opportunity to work with these content creators and be a part the team pioneering the future of media.”

Fullscreen CEO George Strompolos welcomed Shapiro to the company: “We are thrilled to have Larry join the team and leverage his deep expertise and expansive network to help our top talent advance their entertainment careers. It is rare that we find someone who truly understands both the digital and traditional entertainment space.”

Shapiro has extensive experience with digital media starting from his days as an agent for Creative Arts Agency (CAA), where he established the agency’s video game department and connected video game talents with Hollywood insiders. After leaving CAA in 2007, he was the executive vice president of business development at Fourth Wall Studios and was a co-founder of Xmobb, Inc., a company that links social media with entertainment.

Last month, Fullscreen brought in social media guru Brendan Gahan from Mekanism as their vice president of brand strategy, which involves planning the company’s YouTube programming strategy and video optimization.
