What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done?
Ummm, I threw a cat off of a second floor apartment once. I wanted to see if it would land on its feet. I know I’m horrible, but in my defense, I was only 10.
You do a lot of music parodies — any chance you’re going to start a serious music career?
Well, I do have a mix tape coming out in the summer! It’s all original comedy songs so it should be great! Going to shoot a couple music videos for them too!
If I offered you an extra 1,000,000 YouTube followers, but somewhere some random person in the world had to die, would you take that deal?
That’s a tough one, Jeff. What if that random person was me? What a total backfire, hahah. Or what if that random person would be one of my subscribers? Ain’t nobody got time for that. 🙂
What is one thing you wanted to work on in particular during your time at the Creator Space?
I really wanted to interrupt a FreddieW shoot, like for a video I was doing. He was shooting “Video Game High,” but that didn’t happen; I had bad timing. I did get DaveDays though, haha.
About the piece:
Out of YouTube’s thousands of creator channels, 30 promising creators are picked every season to participate in the YouTube NextUp Creator program — a sort of Hogwarts Academy for the very best of the YouTube best. They spend a week training at the YouTube Creator Space in Los Angeles, attending seminars, learning advanced filming techniques and interacting with some of the YouTube greats. In short, it’s a pretty cool honor. Since YouTube thinks they’re worthy, NMR thinks you should know about them.
So we’re featuring the Winter 2013 class of Nextup participants — 2 a day for the next 15 days. Learn about these fresh faces, love their content and then subscribe to their channels, because these are the next generation of YouTube innovators.
