Tribeca Film Festival Launches Its First #6SECFILMS Vine Competition

The Tribeca Film Festival is calling on Vine creators to send in their best six-second clips as part of their first #6SECFILMS competition, and yes, Vine is sponsoring it.

All you have to do is create your Vine, which, even with the time constraints, should have a beginning, middle and end as well as unique characters and plotlines. When you’re done creating your vine, remember to hashtag #6SECFILMS as well as the hashtag of one of the four contest categories. The categories are #GENRE (Vines that encompass genres like horror, sci-fi and others), #AUTEUR (Vines that are heavy on script), #ANIMATE (Animated Vines) and #SERIES (Series of Vines).

After posting your Vine on Twitter, remember to follow @TribecaFilmFest on Twitter so they can Direct Message you if your micro-film is selected for the competition. You have until 11:59 p.m. ET on April 7 to enter.
