If you’re lucky to get the attention of your favorite baseball player, chances are you’ll probably come home with a signed autograph or baseball. But when Joshua Jones, a terminally ill Los Angeles Dodgers fan, asked outfielder Matt Kemp to sign his baseball after their defeat to the San Francisco Giants, he got more than what he’d expected.
His friend, Tommy Schultz, filmed Kemp’s random act of kindness, and it’s now gone viral with more than 657,000 views on YouTube since Monday.
Jones told the Los Angeles Times about Kemp’s gesture: “I was in shock. I was sitting there thinking, ‘I can’t believe he’s doing this.’”
