A gift to creative professionals everywhere, Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has just announced that it will be live streaming sessions from their upcoming festival onto their YouTube channel. The annual festival is an educational event that brings together over 11,000 attendees working in the creative communication field for a week of seminars, master classes, forums and workshops that cover a range of topics such as art and design, how to brand a company and discussions on the future relationships between creativity and technology. Attendees will be treated to master classes taught by such individuals as Ariana Huffington, the president and founder of the Huffington Post Media Group; Tham Kai Mengr, the worldwide CCO and chairman of creative council at Ogilvy & Mathe; and Amir Kassaei, CCO at DDB Worldwide.
“Every year Cannes Lions brings global speakers to its stage and showcases outstanding content that is thought provoking, inspirational and forward-thinking,” states CEO of Lions festival Philip Thomas. “We’re excited to be taking this live, offering a taste of the Cannes experience to those that are unable to make it to the South of France.”
While we could all use a vacation to the South of France, for all of us unable to attend, the festival will be live streaming one video from each day of the festival that will be chosen by viewers’ votes. Voting is opened to all interested parties and will take place from Friday, May 24 until Sunday, June 9. The chosen videos from each day will then be then be uploaded onto the Cannes Lions YouTube channel and available on the channel for two weeks following the festival.
