Fullscreen Hires Ex-NBC Exec as SVP of Engineering to Shore Up Technology

Fullscreen CEO George Strompolos announced that the company has hired Tim Mohn as their senior vice president for engineering.

Mohn will be in charge of empowering Fullscreen’s digital technology initiatives. His past experience includes developing HBO’s GO app and serving as vice president of technology for NBCUniversal and Comcast.

Strompolos said in a statement posted on the Fullscreen website: “The key to building an innovative, next-generation media company is picking an all-star team of talented entrepreneurs. I knew when I first met Tim that he captured exactly what I look for in a teammate – brilliant, creative and unquenchably curious. And most importantly, he shares our same passion for video.”

Mohn said he was attracted to the job by Strompolos’ vision of building a media company that is equal parts technology and content: “That vision is incredibly inspiring to me and is a very natural extension of what I have been working on the past several years. I was thrilled to find people who shared my view of media going forward. And everyone here is incredibly talented and amazing.”

The number one independent YouTube network has made strategic executive hires in the past few months, notably Brendan Gahan as vice president of brand strategy and Larry Shapiro as head of talent.
