Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles recently released the premiere video of her eight-video series “Sara Bareilles Makes A Record.” The series will follow Bareilles as she creates the tracks for her upcoming album “The Blessed Unrest,” which will be released on July 16th. The web series will give fans a new look into the life of the singer and is one of a number of social media projects the singer is employing for the promotion of her new album.
For her recently released single “Brave,” Bareilles asked fans to Instagram postcards that finish the sentence “I am brave enough to…” The Instagram project has collected over 100 responses including a photo and story from YouTube singer Jennifer Chung. In another social media maneuver to promote her album, Bareilles hid the artwork for her album cover in selected public locations in Seattle, and through clues on Instagram and Twitter, challenged fans to find where the cover was hidden.
