What if I told you that you could make more interning for Google than you could doing whatever pissant occupation you’re doing now? Chances are, if you’re a doctor, lawyer, Mark Zuckerberg or the guy who makes sure that Katy Perry’s breasts always stay bigger than the palms of his hands (this last one might not exist, btw), you’ll tell me to eff off. And rightly so. But for the rest of you, Google interns are making roughly $6,000 a month. No wonder Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn applied there.
For the record, I don’t make $6,000 a month and I hobnob with people who hobnob with the guy whose uncle’s best friend’s, cousin’s neighbor’s girlfriend knows someone famous. According to CNN Money, the base pay for the average three month stint at Google is $5,800 per, nutting hotshot college suckups a cool $20 G’s while the rest of us had make do with … well, nothing. Or a gas stipend that amounted to nothing. Oh, and if you are a specialized software engineer intern, your base starts at $6,700.
If that’s how much the interns make, well I bet Sergey Brin probably makes at least … 3x that amount!
