YouTube Launches Embeddable Subscribe Buttons For Creators’ Websites

sub-1

YouTube is launching embeddable subscribe buttons today which creators can place within their dedicated websites. The new feature can be created simply by visiting Google’s developer page here and entering a channel’s name in the provided code.

As a tip of the hat to their struggling paid channels, YouTube has featured pay-to-view channel Baby First Plus in the step-by-step tutorial. The lynchpin of YouTube’s big plans to appeal to a wider range of advertisers is subscriber numbers, something they are hoping this embeddable button will increase.

The embeddable subscribe buttons come in three formats: a classic subscribe button, a button that includes your channel’s avatar and a “dark theme” that places the button on a grey background.

I’ll just put this… right… here. No pressure or anything. Will you be using this embeddable subscribe button for your site? Let us know in the comments below.
