Just released today, the trailer for the new web series “Hot Mess Moves” is hilarious, awkward, and of course, just a quick preview of the hot messes to come. The series, written by comedians Ashley Skidmore and Lyle Friedman, who also star in the show, explores the misadventures and messy lives of 20-something girls simply trying to get their lives together.
“We hope all ladies have their hot mess moments. All people really,” states Friedman. “These characters are just getting real honest about how awkward, weird, agro, dirty, and maybe neurotically thoughtful we think women are.” Friedman and Skidmore share that the upcoming season will be chock-full of meltdowns, awkward sex, bold decisions, and of course, Lyle and Ashley’s dynamic on (and off) screen chemistry.
Skidmore comments about the comedy’s lovable characters, saying “Lyle and I represent the yin and yang of this ‘hot mess’ standard; while we’re both honest about our shortcomings, Lyle is more of a neurotic, awkward, blatant (and the most lovable) weirdo, and Ashley is an aggressive, opinionated, alcoholic physical wreck who owns it and doesn’t give a shit.”
