There’s a viral video out by a Saudi YouTuber that’s blowing up with over 4 million views and counting in only two days — and no, it doesn’t involve a beheading, which is strange and terrible timing considering Halloween is just about here (really, Saudi Arabia?).
No, the video features Saudi artist and social activist Hisham Fageeh doing his best parody Peter Hollens version of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” called “No Woman, No Drive,” a protest against Saudi laws banning women from driving, lest their unbridled, car-traveling, Lilith-ian sexuality causes the moral decay and destruction of a nation that beheads and stones people for adultery, witchcraft and stepping on cracks on the sidewalk.
So is the video any good? Well, in his intro to the video, Fageeh does specifically state, “I don’t really listen to music,” so to that point, you have to admit you were warned when Fageeh starts with lyrics like, “I remember when you used to sit in the family car, but backseat. Ova-ovaries all safe and well.” Yeah, 4 million views. YouTube.
