Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that Vidcon 2013 happened?
I can still remember distinctly the sheer, abject horror of walking into a giant pit stuffed with awkward teens who live and breathe YouTube, and the adults who work the industry salivating over their buying power at that point manifested in the flesh before their very eyes. The constant screams and the mad rushes toward the YouTube-famous, the blinding rays of colors of a million backpacks and hats hitting my retinas, the utter weirdness of a successful convention devoted to bedroom dwellers that make inane 4-minute videos about nothing. To put it mildly: I’m ready for Vidcon 2014.
If you’re as psyched out for Vidcon 2014 as I am (my heart is palpitating right now) there are super-duper early bird tickets available for purchase starting today. Early community passes are $100 – come up with your best mom-pestering plan right now for when she comes home — and industry are $450.
You can purchase the tickets here, although you’ll have to fill out a page or two first before you can make the Green Brothers take your money. One of the required questions buyers must answer is “What do you want to do at Vidcon 2014?” and curiously, one of the answers is “Dance at a dance party.” Looks like they’re going to finally add that rave section I started petitioning for two years ago …
