Google is Testing A New Cleaner YouTube Format — Will It Be ‘The Future’?

There are several tipsters out there who love to drop news on exciting new developments in social media for nothing more than some lip service — some good, old fashioned human kindness. Well, some tipsters don’t even get that. So let me make an appeal to tipster Jordan Rodkey, who posted some exciting new discoveries about YouTube to his Twitter page after lamenting that none of the people he previously tipped off would listen:

Jordan, NMR is here for you. Forget the rest — give NMR your tips and we will lavish you with attention and friendship. The friendship will be phony and one-sided, but damn if we won’t show up to your birthday party. Especially if you keep spitting out tips like this tasty nugget about an apparent new site design for YouTube. Posting the pics to his Twitter account, Rodkey dimed out a new development in YouTube’s look that only a lucky few have been privy to yet.

The design, a more streamlined site, shows fewer videos on the page, and a lot more openness. Less is more seems to be the central theme here. That and a few other odds and ends like easier access to certain functions and a guide that can be stashed away like the Frank family.

While it’s no certainty that this format will ever see past the beta stage it is apparently in now, the pics are tantalizing enough that the rest of us can hope.
