‘This Is a Commentary’s’ Tré Melvin Comes Out on His YouTube Channel [VIDEO]

Anytime somebody decides to make the choice to put their sexuality into the limelight, they are making a choice to be brave for someone else as well. Because they’ve come out, maybe it gives someone else hope that they can be true to themselves as well. It’s a better age to live in, and while it’s nowhere near ideal, with every person that comes forward, as Dan Savage says, “It gets better — unless you’re from NewFoundland, am I right?” Okay, he didn’t say that last part, but the first part was certainly in there.

YouTube comedian Tré Melvin has elected to announce today via his channel, ThisIsACommentary, that he’s bisexual. I’m not sure if it was a calculated tax reason for 2013 or what, but it certainly trumps any exciting news I’ve got for today. Congrats, Tre — I’m sure it was a big decision, but the world is a better place for you having made it.
