Jimmy Fallon and “The Tonight Show” continues with its parade of YouTube views. Their latest video, “Brian Williams Raps ‘Rapper’s Delight'” has over 2 million views and counting. In the clip from the late night TV show, Brian Williams dunks his head into a steaming sewage tank. No, he raps “Rapper’s Delight” — what else? With the help of editing, Brian Fuckin’ Hood-Ass Williams brings serious lyrical flow to the evening news game.
I’m seeing a trend here, of course. TV show clips being uploaded to YouTube are taking over the viral kingdom — see: Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, your local news show and their bloopers, etc. … “TV will die,” they said; “YouTube is taking over the world,” they said; “NMR’s editor-in-chief position will be rewarding,” they said. HA!
Anyhow, I pose this to all of you reading this article (all 16 of you — hi mom!): So when are YouTube stars, beside Lucas Cruikshank and Daneboe, going to take a major dent out of TV? When, sir, when? Oooo. Aaaah.
