The Dudesons, who are the Viking forebears of the Jackass crew, have been TV stars in their native Finland for a while, but they recently took another step forward in furthering their YouTube careers.
Announced today, the Dudesons (Jarppi “Daredevil,” Jukka “Showman,” Jarno “Mastermind” and HP “Bonebreaker”) have signed with international multi-channel network Base79. The foursome’s YouTube prank videos, which include recent collabs with YouTube stars like Roman Atwood, VitalyzdTv and Sam Pepper, have collected over 27 million views on their The Dudesons channel.
In Base79’s press release, the network promises to use their “proprietary technology to develop audiences, syndicate video to new platforms and handle all rights management and advertising sales” for the Dudesons. In other words: They will try to increase viewership and profits for their latest, greatest signees.
Jukka Hilden of The Dudesons says in the same release: “This gives us such a great way to connect with our international fan base with new and fresh footage weekly, and bring more positive anarchy into their lives! We will go balls out on internet!”
Okay, I can definitely get on board with these guys. And I will — they’ve recently landed on American soil on a prank tour, so keep your eyes peeled for NMR’s sit-down interview with The Dudesons coming soon.
