Today, the YouTube app on Microsoft’s Xbox One is getting an exciting update: integrated Game DVR and Upload Studio.
Game DVR is of course used to record live gameplay on the Xbox One, while Upload Studio is used to edit and upload gameplay video. The integration of the two apps into the YouTube app means a quicker, more direct process for users in getting their gameplay footage onto their YouTube channels. Users can simply record gameplay with Game DVR, edit the footage with Upload Studio, and then publish to their channels inside the YouTube app.
In their press release, Microsoft says the updated YouTube app also allows users to “watch YouTube videos in Snap Mode, earn Media Achievements, and adds YouTube channels to OneGuide for instant access to YouTube videos right next to your favorite TV listings or App Channels.”
