A Life In Music: Kennedy Center Honors ‘Clouds’ Musician Zach Sobiech

The Kennedy Center honors the late Zach Sobiech tonight at their “YouTube Onstage Live” concert, which will include performances from John Legend and violinist Lindsey Stirling.

Before his passing in May 2013 from osteorcarcoma, Zach’s hit song “Clouds” swept the internet with its infectious lyrics, proving that light can be found in the darkest of places. A rendition of the song will be played at the live concert by Postmodern Jukebox, Playing for Change, and the Howard University Gospel Choir. Zach’s girlfriend Amy Adamle and singing partner Sammy Brown will be guest speakers at the event as well.

A deluxe edition of Sobiech’s EP “Fix Me Up” was just released and features an acoustic version of “Clouds” and a new song from Sammy Brown. Sales of the album benefit the Zach Sobiech Osteorcarcoma Fund at Children’s Cancer Research, in addition to St. Paul-based music organization Rock the Cause.

Watch the event live on the Kennedy Center’s YouTube channel at 6:30 central time to support Zach’s cause.
