Chester See, Grace Helbig, Glozell In New Season of AwesomenessTV’s ‘Side Effects’

YouTubers are armed and ready to sing their hearts out in the newest season of musical web series drama “Side Effects.” AwesomenessTV launched the second season today exclusively via their new mobile app, where viewers will be able to watch the long-form version of season two. Alternatively, short-form episodes of the season will be released every Thursday via AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel beginning May 15.

Officially launched in Oct. 2013, “Side Effects” season one generated over 2 million views in its first week as it chronicled the musical hallucinations 16-year-old Whitney suffered as a side effect of her medication. Returning for season two are stars Chester See, Meg DeLacy, Lulu Antariksa, Cade Canon Ball, Finn Roberts, Keli Price, Lia Marie Johnson, with the new additions of YouTubers Grace Helbig and GloZell. We can look forward to hearing covers of Anna Kendrick’s “Cups,” Capital Cities’ “Safe and Sound,” and One Direction’s “Kiss You,” as well as a new original song titled “Boom Boom.”

The season two launch provides AwesomenessTV with the perfect opportunity to promote their new platform of a mobile app for iOS. Brian Robbins, founder and CEO AwesomenessTV, said in a press release: “As we discovered with ‘Side Effects,’ AwesomenessTV fans will watch both long and short form content so this gives them the best of both worlds, long form on the app and short form on our YouTube channel.”

“Side Effects” is co-produced by AwesomenessTV and Universal Cable Production, with Universal Music Group digitally distributing the soundtrack.
