Lindsey Stirling, Scott Bradlee (of Postmodern Jukebox) and others are gearing up for one of the coolest concerts in YouTube this year.
Called “YouTube OnStage Live from the Kennedy Center,” the show will be a May 28 one-time performance from some of YouTube’s biggest acts and performers — and the best part of all? The show is completely free. It’s also in Washington D.C. and expected to draw capacity crowds to the 2,200-seat theatre. But don’t worry — this is YouTube after all, and so the concert will also be available online.
“The Kennedy Center is a temple of culture,” volunteered Darrell Ayers, the Center’s vice president for education and jazz, though we don’t remember asking him. “And YouTube has become a 21st century temple of culture.”
