Mostly I side with corporations in the “David v. Goliath” videos that pop up online from time to time. Some person feels they have been wronged and so they immediately take to the court of public opinion and force the company’s hand. It’s a real passive aggressive move — just like when this young virtuoso from the classical group Time For Three begins playing his violin on the tarmac after being told he can’t stow it in the overhead compartment.
This time however, these guys are in the right. Granted, the violining was a bit excessive, but that flight attendant seems like he/she was being an unnecessarily fussy asshole. Here’s the kicker though: the entire airline doesn’t deserve to get slammed over a douchey flight attendant. Usually its bullshit lawsuits from whiners that force companies to do things like ban violins as carry-on luggage. Companies in the past were a bit more lax about stuff like this … and then the lawsuits started rolling in.
These ordinances are no fault but your own, people. Think about that the next time you want to complain that your coffee isn’t hot enough.
