Some great news from the digital front: YouTubers are going to (hopefully) get kids back into reading. Atria Publishing Group and United Talent Agency have teamed up to launch Keyboard Press, a publishing house geared towards publishing the works of YouTube stars.
Starting in late 2014 and 2015, five books will be released through Keyboard Press from some of YouTube’s biggest stars: iJustine, Shane Dawson, ShayCarl, Connor Franta and Joey Graceffa.
The books, which are expected to range from comedic to dramatic, fiction to nonfiction and memoirs will seek to encompass the strengths and personalities of the stars the books are representing.
These aren’t the first YouTubers to put “author” on their resume — Toby Turner, Epic Meal Time, Kaleb Nation, Ken Tanaka and, most recently, Grace Helbig all have books of their own.
Share this article because books — and authors (*cough) — are awesome.
