For everyone who was wondering what Ray William Johnson was going to do now that he has retired from YouTube and his “Equals Three” show, we now have an answer: he’s going to act.
Just cast in the indie film “Who’s Driving Doug?,” Johnson took to Twitter to announce he would play one of the leads alongside “Breaking Bad” star RJ Mitte (Walt’s son) and “Bates Motel” actress Paloma Kwiatkowski.
The story, which details a wheelchair-bound intellectual — the eponymous “Doug” — being driven across the country and his interactions with the stranger driving him, will likely cast Mitte, an actor with real-life cerebral palsy as Doug and RWJ as his driver.
Johnson has previously acted in such films and shorts as “Riley Rewind,” “Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie” and as Puff Puff in “Puppet Break-Up.”
