YouTube Looks To Thailand For Its Next Partner Program

YouTube’s next stop on its global takeover? Thailand. The video collective has set up a specialized local version of its site and installed a partner program in the Asian country.

It should make for some, um, interesting content to say the least, but surely the move will also yield fantastic cooking channels, beautiful locations and plenty of exotic talents.

The move will also allow YouTube to generate local revenue to and expand its reach within the Pan Pacific realm.

Says Ariya Banomyong, YouTube’s head in Thailand: “We hope that bringing this program and the fully localized YouTube site to Thailand will help encourage more Thai talent to come online, and make it easier for Thai communities to find and fall in love with more local content.”
