‘Gingerbread’: The ‘Gingers Do Have Souls’ Kid Made A Rap Song … No, Really [VIDEO]

Whelp, the “Gingers Do Have Souls Kid” (AKA CopperCab, AKA Mikey Kittrell) now has a rap video called “Gingerbread.” The scope of the video is how much money he makes because of that whole viral video and how we all hated on him but now he’s a rap star making “bread” (slang for money). The easy thing to do would be to mock how terrible this all is — but NMR is better than that (sometimes). And so we thought we’d at least weigh the pro and the cons of this whole crazy affair and see how it all pans out.

PRO: The title of the song is clever: “Gingerbread.”

CON: The song is terrible.

PRO: The chorus is catchy.

CON: The song is terrible.

PRO: Mikey clearly has a sense of humor about everything.

CON: The song is terrible.

PRO: He remembered his roots and included his family in the video.

CON: His family is just … wow.

PRO: He likes “Dumb & Dumber” a lot.

CON: This might ruin “Dumb & Dumber” for the rest of us.

PRO: Hot girls in the video.

CON: He kisses some of them … jesus, surely these girls had an option to work in fast food or stripping or something …

PRO: It’s a positive spin on what was seen as a slightly distressing story about a goofy kid getting bullied.

CON: Does anybody NOT want to beat him up now?

PRO: —

CON: I owe all other one-trick ponies an apology. Sometimes it’s clearly better to exit stage left in a dignified manner.
