Need more proof that YouTube is an international medium? This ad for Dish Latino that YouTube displayed on their masthead for two consecutive days has generated over 100 million impressions and 2.7 million views for the video — a first for Spanish language ads.
The ad, which was released to coincide with World Cup action features high crossover appeal by featuring a scantily clad showgirl kinda dancing around … I don’t know, there might be some other stuff going on … but it is an important moment for YouTube and the Latino community. The company can now expect to generate more interest from Latino-centric advertisers after showing its viability.
As long as they show nearly naked women of course.
