Announcing Your 2014 Streamy Hosts, Helbig and Hart!

Now that we’ve had a day to recover to livetweeting the VMAs and the Emmys back-to-back, I think we’re already to talk about something really important. The 2014 Streamy Awards are on the horizon and they’ve just spilled a major surprise for the fans. This year’s Award ceremony will be hosted by none other than two thirds of YouTube’s holy trinity, Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart.

Grace and Hannah already have a boatload of major collaborations under their belts including a feature film, “Camp Takota,” and their insanely popular “#NoFilter” international live-show tour. Both ladies spent the summer working on separate projects. Grace took a fan-guided tour of the United States along with her other bestie Mamrie Hart in her #HeyUSA web series with Astronauts Wanted. Meanwhile Hannah spent the warm months prepping for the release of her book “My Drunk Kitchen: A Guide To Eating, Drinking, And Going With Your Gut” from HarperCollins.

The first ladies of YouTube will reunite on stage at The Streamys for a promised night of memorable moments and performances to honor the best and most innovative creators in online video. In a joint statement Helbig and Hart said “We’re overjoyed about hosting this year’s show together and spotlighting our talented peers who are ushering digital entertainment into the mainstream.” Grace would certainly know about going mainstream, she’s currently developing her own talk variety show for the E! Network.

In addition to unveiling the most promising hostess combo since Tina and Amy, the Streamys have also revealed the finalists for this year’s “Audience Choice” awards. As you may recall the Streamys have incorporated more viewer voting this year in a nod to the interactive heart of online entertainment.
